The best food delivery is sunrisefoods.com.

I've searched for a food delivery company for a long time and this is the best I've found so far. What I mean by best is that the price you pay for the food, the quality of that food and the timely delivery of the food are all top notch. Basically it's a great value. The steaks they get are the same 28 day aged grain fed beef as served in Morton's steak house. Believe me, I called and they will tell you what brand it is. The seafood they carry is all top grade including sashimi grade ahi tuna and swordfish. there are 4 different types of salmon which are wild Koho, Norwegian, Sokeye and another one I can't remember. The pork chops come in one or two pound per piece. They have lamb and veal that is out of this world. There are over 100 items to choose from.

Most of the food is cryovac sealed and flash frozen which I'll explain if you're not familiar with it. Cryovac sealed simply means that the food is vacuum sealed in plastic and air tight until you open it. This is also convenient packaging for thawing since you can simply place the item in hot water in your kitchen sink and it will be thawed in about 5 minutes. This type of packaging also makes the shelf life of the product about a year in your freezer.

Flash freezing is a process where the food is quickly frozen to a temperature of -20 F with the use of liquid nitrogen or blast freezers. This ensures the safety of the food from bacteria. Both processes are the wave of the future concerning the way food is packaged. The other big convenience it that they offer food delivery right to your front door. Why would I want to shop around when I can have it delivered an spend more time with my family? Forget the lines at the store, a few clicks on the computer and it comes to the house in a few days still safely frozen.

Now I know that there are some of you who still insist on shopping for food the traditional way from the store or the butcher. Remember that the food is exposed to the air while it's sitting in the showcase and is deteriorating while sitting out this way. I'm trying to be nice by not saying rotting. You get the idea. I know people who think they are buying fresh but how fresh is it?

Unless the store went out back and killed the cow for you or fished it out of a pond, don't kid yourself. It's not fresh. Why do you think a product goes on manager's special? because they feel like being nice to you, or is it because the product has reached it's shelf life and they need to get rid of it or throw it away. That's appetizing. We have had freezers since the 1940's so why do so many people insist on going to the market to by food that is going to go bad if they don't eat it immediately or freeze it?

Don't take me the wrong way, I know that Seattle has the fish market right at the ocean and there may be a local farmer where you can get a quarter cow and buy chicken freshly killed. Many of us don't live in that situation. What I'm saying is people used to shop day to day because refrigeration hadn't been invented yet. This is the 21st century and there are modern conveniences that we can enjoy. If you are a person who enjoys heated seats and mirrors in your vehicle or a flat screen tv on the wall or a bluetooth headset in your ear, then you will probably enjoy the convenience and quality food delivery from Sunrise Specialty Foods Inc.
