Snappy rumaki recipe
I found this quick and easy rumaki recipe. If you don't know what it is, it's a wonderful fancy appetizer(hors d'oeuvre) that you might see around the holiday season. It consists of water chestnut, bacon, and pieces of chicken liver. It's origin is Hawaiian and it is delicious. Items needed: 12 water chestnuts. 12 slices bacon, cut in half. 12 pieces chicken liver.(can be omitted) 3 Tblspns. soy sauce. 1 tspn. sugar. 1/2 tspn. minced ginger. Slice water chestnuts in half crosswise. Combine soy sauce, sugar and ginger. Add water chestnuts and marinate for 15 minutes. Place a water chestnut half and a piece of chicken liver together. Wrap both with bacon and secure with a food pick. Arrange on a plate and cover with a paper towel. Cook in microwave oven for 1 1/2-2 minutes. Enjoy.
