Snappy spaetzle recipe.
This spaetzle recipe serves 4-6 people.Items needed: 2 eggs, beaten. 1/2 cup milk. 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour. 1/4 tspn salt. 1/8 tspn nutmeg 2 Tblspns butter. Combine eggs and milk. Stir in flour, salt and nutmeg until smooth. Pass dough through a colander into the boiling water. Boil for 2-3 minutes, spaetzle will float to the surface when done. Texture should delicate and light but chewy. If the first few are heavy and dense, add a few more drops of water or milk to the batter before continuing. Drain and toss with butter or melt butter in skillet and gently fry spaetzel until brown, about 2-3 minutes. Note: Enjoy this side dish with the
