There are as many types of tuna recipes as there are types of tuna. There are yellow fin {a.k.a.) ahi tuna, blue fin, albacore, and everyone's favorite, Charlie tuna. You get the idea, there's a lot of tuna. As we expand this site and get feedback from you, we will expand our recipe selection for this tasty fish. Ahi tuna is pink in color, very tender and many people prefer it rare in the center like a steak. It is served in many 5 star restaurants. Albacore tuna is identified by it's blond color and has a different flavor. Try different types of tuna steaks and see what you like. Tuna is one of the most diverse fish I know of, so here are a few recipes for now. We will come up with many others so check back often.
Snappy Ahi Tuna
Rub
Ahi tuna steaks
with olive oil and season.Grill or saute 2-3 1/2 minutes per side for rare to medium-well. Also try Romano or Parmesan cheese in a Ziploc bag. Parmesan ahi tuna shown below. Add Garlic and seasoning. Shake until seasoning sticks to fish. Saute in skillet on low-medium heat with pat of butter 2-3 1/2 minutes for rare to medium-well.
Snappy Albacore Tuna
Rub with olive oil and season.Grill or saute 2-3 1/2 minutes for rare to medium-well.
